take two rocks
polish and cut them
dig to heart
the precious pretty middle
design and polish
make two halves of a perfect whole
this is what man can do
but now take two stones
from different worlds
find their faults
their crags
their snags
every imperfection on the surface
and fit them together
perfectly
like two halves of a whole
and watch what emerges
this is a stone more precious than diamond
more dazzling that an emerald
and more beautiful than a ruby
this is what God can do
this is what He did
with you
and me
I love you
